From the moment I was picked up from the airport, I felt comfortable and safe. Upon arriving at the surgical center from preop, the staff is there for anything you need or any question you have. The beach house was amazing, along with the spa services. Surgery day went very well and the doctors and nurses are very attentive and the care you receive is better than any care I have ever received anywhere else.
I want to start by saying I've been in the medical field for 16 years. I live in the Houston area and have had premium insurance my entire life. That being said, Pompeii provided the best care I've ever received! The customer service was unmatched. The nurses were on top of your medications. Everything was ran so well. I had absolutely NO complications, and since I returned and shared my results, I've had several friends go as well! If you are on the fence, don't wait. My only regret is not doing it sooner!!!!
What a phenomenal experience. I can honestly say that I had nothing but incredible interactions with any and all of the staff members here. I also want to give a very special and heartfelt acknowledgments to my surgeon Dr. Quiñonez a.k.a. Dr. Q! Now, that I am back and have had time to fully process my experience, I'm really happy with the care and expertise of Dr. Q and his staff. He is somewhat of a reserved gentlemen but has the most experience at this facility.
This surgery at this facility was one of the best experiences I have had. From the staff, to the facility, to the surgeons and care, they are top notch. I have had over 6 surgeries in my lifetime and I felt incredibly safe and well taken care of.
Age 69 and now down 41 pounds, after 4 months post Sleeve Surgery. No more yo-yo dieting. No real hunger pains. Cut my high pressure 50% after just a month. Enjoyed the follow-up that was provided. The facility, doctor, and all support staff couldn't have been better. They provided more you could ever think of!!! Loved the protein bar and massages. So did my husband. He was also very, very impressed. And now he has a happy wife who can fit into her wardrobe.
Unbelievable care at a world class facility. I have twice visited Pompeii Surgical as a companion to loved ones having surgery and I will tell you that this faculty and all those work work here- from the surgeons, assistants and nurses to the care coordinators and drivers- are professionals of the highest caliber. The facility is incredibly clean and state of the art equipment is used. Guests are treated with respect and care. I would highly recommend anyone considering bariatric surgery to engage the staff at Pompeii. You'll find nothing but excellence here!
I had surgery with Dr. Q at Pompeii Surgical on the 25th, and my experience was fantastic—truly a 10/10. The only “complaint” I’d mention is that I didn’t get a second face-to-face with Dr. Q because two patients around my surgery date had emergency situations, which kept him in surgery much longer than expected. But honestly, I completely understood—those patients needed the extra care, and both later shared that they felt safe and well-attended. My own recovery went incredibly well. I went to Pompeii Surgical and had a great experience. I’ll preface this by saying I had high anxiety about leaving the country for a major medical procedure, but the entire experience was top-notch. I had Dr. Quinones, who I believe is the founder of Pompeii. My companion was treated like royalty, and we thoroughly enjoyed the beach house (really a condo) in Rosarito for recovery. We were picked up by the Pompeii staff at the airport within 15 minutes of landing and were escorted at every moment after that.
