Summary. MexicoWeightLossSurgery.com is a directory and marketing platform, not a medical provider. We work to keep information factual and current, but we cannot guarantee it is accurate or complete. Nothing on this site is a recommendation or medical advice. Some centers, clinics and surgeons pay us for advertising, which can affect where they appear, and for patient inquiries. If you request offers, we share your request with participating providers. Please read the full terms below.
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of MexicoWeightLossSurgery.com and any related pages, forms and services (the “Site”), operated by MexicoWeightLossSurgery.com (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Site you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site. You must be at least 18 years old to submit a request, review or listing.
2. What the Site is
The Site is an online directory and information resource about bariatric (weight loss) surgery centers, hospitals, clinics and surgeons in Mexico. We compile listings, prices, ratings and reviews from public sources, provider information and visitor submissions, and we publish general educational content about procedures.
We also provide marketing services to surgeons, clinics and hospitals (“Providers”). These services include directory listings, sponsored placements and other advertising, and patient inquiry (lead) generation, in which we pass requests from people looking for surgery to participating Providers.
We are not a hospital, clinic, physician, medical group, insurer, travel agency or booking agent. We do not provide, arrange, supervise or guarantee medical care, and we are not a party to any agreement between you and a Provider.
3. Not medical advice
All content on the Site, including procedure guides, prices, BMI calculations, scores and reviews, is general information only. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it does not create a doctor-patient relationship with us or with any Provider. Bariatric surgery carries serious risks. Talk with a qualified physician about whether a procedure is appropriate for you before making any decision. If you have a medical emergency, contact local emergency services.
4. Not a recommendation or endorsement
No listing, ranking, score, badge, review, offer or article on the Site is a recommendation, referral or endorsement of any Provider, surgeon, procedure or price. The appearance of a Provider on the Site does not mean we have verified its credentials, licensing, accreditation, safety record or outcomes. You are solely responsible for evaluating and choosing any Provider. We encourage you to verify each surgeon’s license and board certification, the hospital’s accreditation, and the full written terms of any package directly with the Provider and the relevant authorities.
5. Accuracy of information
We try to be factual and to publish the most accurate data available, and we cite or link to sources where we can. However, information comes from third parties and changes often. Prices, procedures offered, surgeons, addresses, hours, ratings, review counts and other details may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness or reliability of any information on the Site, and we are not responsible for errors or omissions. Always confirm details directly with the Provider before relying on them. To report an error, use our contact page.
6. Rankings, the Directory Score and advertising
Lists on the Site are ordered using a Directory Score that combines public rating data, review volume, the number of review platforms, documented surgeon experience and years in operation, as described on our How we score page. The score is a mechanical summary of available data. It is not a measure of medical quality or safety.
Some Providers pay us for advertising. Paid placement affects ranking: sponsored Providers may be shown above other listings, highlighted, or shown in additional places, and are labeled “Sponsored”. Providers may also pay us for patient inquiries. We may also choose which Providers receive offer requests based on our commercial relationships. See our Advertising Disclosure for details, including relationships between our owners and Providers listed on the Site.
7. Offer requests and contact with Providers
When you submit a request for surgical offers, you authorize us to share the information you provide, including health information such as height, weight, BMI and health conditions, with the Provider you select and, if you choose, with other participating Providers that advertise with us, so they can contact you by phone, text message, WhatsApp or email. Providers set their own prices, terms, eligibility criteria and availability. Any offer is made by the Provider, not by us, and is not a guarantee of price, eligibility or outcome. You are not obligated to accept any offer. Consent to be contacted is not a condition of any purchase.
You agree to provide accurate information and to submit requests only for yourself or with the permission of the person concerned. Providers are independent businesses responsible for their own communications, services and compliance with law. Any dispute about care, payment, deposits, refunds, travel or outcomes is between you and the Provider.
8. Reviews, photos and other content you submit
You may submit reviews, ratings, photos, clinic listings and other content (“Your Content”). You confirm that Your Content is truthful and based on your own experience, that you have the right to share it, and that it does not include anyone else’s private health information without permission. Providers and people acting for them may not review themselves or competitors, and no one may offer or accept payment or other incentives for reviews unless the incentive is disclosed in the review.
You keep ownership of Your Content, and you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, transferable and sublicensable license to host, use, reproduce, edit for length or format, translate, display and distribute it in connection with the Site and our marketing. We may moderate, decline, edit or remove any content at our discretion, for example if it appears fake, abusive, defamatory, promotional or unlawful. Third-party reviews shown on the Site are excerpts attributed and linked to their original sources and remain the property of their authors or publishers.
9. Provider listings
Providers who submit or claim a listing confirm that they are authorized to act for the practice and that the information they provide is accurate, lawful and kept up to date. We may edit, decline or remove listings. Paid advertising and lead generation services are governed by separate written agreements, which control if they conflict with these Terms.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to: copy, harvest or extract data from the Site by automated means; interfere with the Site’s security or operation; submit false, misleading or spam requests; impersonate any person or Provider; upload malicious code; use the Site to harass anyone; or use the Site in violation of any law. We may suspend access or remove content for any violation.
11. Intellectual property. All rights reserved.
The Site and its content, including text, procedure guides, data compilations, the Directory Score method, design, logos, graphics and software, are owned by MexicoWeightLossSurgery.com or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. All rights reserved. You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, republish, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit any part of the Site without our prior written permission. “MexicoWeightLossSurgery”, “MexicoWeightLossSurgery.com” and our logo are our trademarks. Other names and logos belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.
12. Third-party sites and services
The Site links to Provider websites, review platforms and other third-party sites. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, privacy practices or services. Visiting them is at your own risk.
13. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY PROVIDER IS QUALIFIED, LICENSED, SAFE OR WILL DELIVER ANY RESULT.
14. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MEXICOWEIGHTLOSSSURGERY.COM AND ITS OWNERS, AFFILIATES, EMPLOYEES AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY PERSONAL INJURY, MEDICAL COMPLICATION, LOSS OF MONEY OR DATA, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE, ANY INFORMATION ON IT, OR ANY SERVICES OR CARE PROVIDED BY A PROVIDER. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MexicoWeightLossSurgery.com and its owners, affiliates, employees and agents from any claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the Site, or your violation of these Terms or of any law.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute relating to the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Broward County, Florida, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Any claim must be brought within one year after it arises. If you live in a country whose laws give you rights that cannot be waived by contract, those rights are not affected.
17. Changes and termination
We may change the Site or these Terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted, and the “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after changes means you accept them. We may suspend or end access to the Site at any time.
18. General
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Advertising Disclosure, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Site. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a sale or reorganization of our business.
