MexicoWeightLossSurgery.com is free for patients. We earn money from bariatric surgeons, clinics and hospitals (“Providers”). This page explains how, and how it affects what you see.
How we make money
- Sponsored placements and advertising. Providers can pay to be shown more prominently. Paid placement affects ranking: sponsored Providers may appear above other listings, in highlighted positions, or in additional places such as procedure and city pages. These listings are labeled “Sponsored”.
- Patient inquiries (leads). When you request free surgical offers, we pass your request to participating Providers that advertise with us. They may pay us per inquiry, per month, or under another arrangement.
- Marketing services. We provide marketing services to surgeons and practices, including listing management and lead generation.
What payment does not change
- The Directory Score number for each Provider is calculated the same way for everyone from public rating data, review volume, review platforms, documented surgeon experience and years in operation. See How we score.
- We do not write, edit or remove reviews in exchange for payment, and we do not accept payment for positive reviews.
Ownership and affiliations
The owners of MexicoWeightLossSurgery.com also own or have financial interests in other businesses in the bariatric field, including bariatric directories and centers. It can receive compensation for advertisers looking for bariatric surgery patients.

No listing, ranking, score, badge or offer on this site is a recommendation or endorsement. We try to keep information factual and current but cannot guarantee it is accurate.
